HighTech meets Data Science

HighTech meets Data Science

• Do you feel the power of data in your daily life and the impact it has on our community?
• Can you imagine the change it will bring to industry and engineering?
• Do you know the notions of Smart Industry, Industry 4.0, and Smart Manufacturing?
• Do you think Data Science could offer new opportunities to your business?
• Do you want to explore the implications of data-driven business for your organization and the field it operates in?
• What are the challenges you will face?
• Who and what do you need to develop and deploy data-mining applications successfully within your company?

On Friday, October 19th, the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) and Holland Innovative are organizing High Tech meets Data Science. In this seminar we will share perspectives and experiences from the academic world and industry. Ultimately, we also want to put forward an agenda for the collaborative development of Data Science in Dutch industry.

Koen Herps

Koen Herps studied Master Technology and Operations Management at the RUG. Currently he is working on a PhD degree at TU/e & KMWE Precision. Within KMWE Precision Koen is currently employed as Project Manager Smart Projects.

Marc Evers

After finishing his studye at TU Delft Marc Evers had been studying at Purdue University USA MBA and Central European University Budapest MBA. Marc has been CEO of OTB and later CTO within OTB Group. After spending several years at OTB and OTB Group, he became CTO within Philips/VDL ETG. Currently Marc Evers is co-owner and CTO within KMWE Group.

Ignacio Alonso

Dr. ENG in Computer Science, Ignacio has made his career as researcher in IoT and mobile robotics at Infobotica RG (University of Oviedo) He has published more than 30 scientific contributions and several books. Then, three years ago, he moved to The Netherlands and become the SW execution architect of the Twinscan and the source (ASML) In there he uses ML and big data technology to assess SW performance problems in the nanosecond world of the lithography process.

Bent u klaar voor fact-based procesverbetering?

Malcolm Moore

I’m the JMP European Technical Manager with a PhD from the University of London in Design of Experiments for Non-Linear models. My focus is to help R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing clients apply the principles of statistical thinking to gain better insight into their processes based on data using JMP software from SAS. Key Skills include: Data Management, Exploratory Data Analysis, Statistical Methods, Predictive Modelling, Design of Experiments, Quality Engineering, Reliability, and Six Sigma.

Göran Oesterholt

After completing the University of Twente, Göran started working as an engineer within the automotive industry. After a couple of years he continued his career at Siemens as a consultant focusing on Product Data Management. Within Siemens Göran has performed several roles within business consulting, professional services and sales. Today he is responsible for development of Siemens’ partner channel and portfolio. Siemens PLM delivers and implements software solutions to enable its customers to digitize their processes from product development to manufacturing to service.

Remko Horne

After his receiving PhD in Physics at Leiden University, Remko Horne joined Philips. For 20 years he worked as research scientist (Philips NatLab), project leader and program manager for technology, new products and manufacturing improvement (Philips Display Components/LPD) and resource and development manager (Philips Semiconductors/NXP). Nine years ago he moved to Holland-Innovative where he works as MBB for small, medium and large companies resolving quality issues using data as main leverage tool.
