Training
Knowledge and the exchange of knowledge are of vital importance to us. This is why we set up the Dommel Valley Platform, together with IBIS University of Amsterdam (UvA), Philips Healthcare and Aalberts Industries.
The aim of the Platform is to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge and best practices with respect to reliable product design and product quality.
The Platform came into being due to a growing demand within the Low Volume High Capex industry. How can small numbers of expensive machines be designed to be sound, while other areas for attention are the reduction of failures and efficient operational management, for both industry and service processes?
Bosch Security Systems, NXP-Semiconductors, Philips Applied Technologies, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Philips Lighting, Sensata Technologies, VDL-ETG, De Loft and Stork SP Aerospace have now also joined the Platform.
The Dommel Valley Platform organises seminars and training courses held by the University of Amsterdam with contributions from Platform specialists. The Design for IBIS UvA Six Sigma training course leads to a diploma awarded by the University of Amsterdam once candidates have passed the examination and have realised two projects.
On client request, we organise training courses at Yellow, Green and Black Belt level. Seminars related to the subject of Reliability are also organised. Training courses are given in-company as well as on an open enrolment basis. Training courses include project supervision, as we see coaching on the job as a factor crucial to success.
