Dommel Valley Platform
The Dommel Valley Platform is a Philips Healthcare, Aalberts Industries (Industrial Services), IBIS University of Amsterdam and Holland Innovative initiative.
The Platform has now been extended to include: Bosch Security Systems, VDL-ETG, Philips Applied Technologies, Sensata Technologies, NXP Semiconductors, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, de Loft and Stork SP Aerospace.
The aim of the Platform is to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge with respect to product quality and product reliability.
The spearheads of this Platform are: Reliability Design, Cross-pollination and boosting Innovative Strength.
To these ends the Platform organises:
- Training courses:
Design for Six Sigma at both Green Belt and Black Belt level, held by the University of Amsterdam. Successful completion of the examination and two projects leads to the Six Sigma Black Belt university diploma. - Seminars related to the subject of reliability and innovation
The first Reliability Masterclass starts in early 2009.
